Individual Counseling
Sometimes the most important work you can do is the work you do on yourself — not for anyone else, but so you can show up the way you want to in every area of your life.
Something Feels Off
— and It's Been That
Way for a While
It doesn't have to be a crisis to be worth addressing. Sometimes what brings people to counseling is a slow accumulation — the anxiety that never quite goes away, the exhaustion that sleep doesn't fix, or the sense that you're moving through life on autopilot and drifting further from who you thought you'd be by now.
Other times it is a turning point — a job loss, a divorce, a diagnosis, the death of someone who mattered, or a transition that turned out to be harder than expected. Whatever is bringing you here, individual counseling gives you a structured space to make sense of it and build a path forward.
MY APPROACH
This Is Not Just Talk
A common hesitation about counseling is the fear that it amounts to paying someone to listen while you repeat your problems back to yourself. That's not what happens here.
My approach is structured and forward-moving. We'll work to understand the roots of what you're experiencing — not to dwell on the past indefinitely, but to make sense of patterns that keep showing up in the present. From there, we build practical strategies you can actually use. You'll leave sessions with something to work on, not just something to think about.
A Note on Faith
My practice is grounded in a Christian worldview, and that perspective shapes how I understand identity, purpose, and what it means to be human. You don't need to share my beliefs to benefit from this work — what matters is that you're willing to do it.
Ready to Take the First Step?
If you've been putting this off, or if you're not even sure counseling is right for your situation, a free consultation is a low-pressure way to find out. We'll talk about what you're dealing with, what you're hoping to accomplish, and whether working together makes sense.

What People Work On
Adults come to individual counseling for a wide range of reasons. The most common concerns I see include:
Anxiety and depression — Persistent worry, low mood, or a sense that something is wrong
Life transitions — Career changes, relationship shifts, or entering a new life stage
THE WHOLE PERSON
A Whole-Person Approach
Good counseling doesn't treat anxiety as just a brain chemistry problem, or burnout as just a scheduling problem, or grief as just something to push through. These experiences touch every part of who you are — your relationships, your work, your sense of meaning, and your faith if that matters to you.
In-Person and Teletherapy Options
I see individual clients at my office in Plano, TX, and via teletherapy throughout Texas and Idaho. Many people find that teletherapy removes the logistical barriers that would otherwise get in the way of consistent sessions — and consistent sessions are what produce results.
